How To Make Angel Ornaments
The holidays are here and I’ve had a bit of a slow start on my Christmas Decor. I love to add a little each year and this year I’m bringing back a project from years ago. I’ve started with an Angel Ornament Tree that I posted a few days ago. Today, I will show you how to make the cute little Angel Ornaments that adorn the little tree in my dining room.
The tree is just a little tree that I purchased from Walgreens some years ago. I’ve been downsizing to a couple of smaller trees. Just got a little tired of moving furniture to fit a full sized tree in my living room. The fun part about this is that each year I bring out just a few of my favorite things and place them where I can enjoy them.
The angel ornaments came about some years back and I bring them out every year to put somewhere in my decor. They are getting a little tattered and I thought I would raid my scrap pile and make some new ones.
These cute little Angel Ornaments have so many uses around the holidays. I’m sure you know someone who collects them. They make perfect gifts.
- Package Toppers
- Ornaments for the tree
They are so easy to make here is a run down of materials
- fabric scraps ( a fat quarter is perfect)
- cotton balls
- bead embellishments
Step by Step
- Gather your materials
- Cut an 8″ circle from fabric (I traced a plate from my kitchen cabinet)
- Place cotton ball in center for head and wrap fabric around it
- Tie a piece of cording or ribbon to form neck and head
- tie a bow for wings and a bow for the front of the neck. Make a halo by arranging beads on top of head in a circle.
That’s it! a few simple steps and some scraps from your scrap pile and you are done with the easiest cutes little angel ornament.
Use any fabric you like. Match your decor or use holiday fabric for the cutest little angels at Christmas time.
They look so darling on my tree of angels.
I hope this post sparked your imagination. Go dig into your scrap pile and see what you can create. I can’t wait to share more holiday projects with you. Sign up with your email address and never miss an inspiration.
